Just about the whole village is involved; either running, cheering on or helping out. People enter from across the South East providing a great balance of fun runners and serious competitors. For youngsters we have the fantastic colour run.
All competitors receive very distinguished medals and a well-stocked goodie bag, and prizes will be awarded for various categories. Technical shirts
are available to buy and refreshments are available from 8.30 with real coffee, bacon rolls, cakes, burgers and hot dogs. As well as the colour run, kids can
enjoy a bouncy castle and ice cream; perhaps while competitors relax their muscles in the massage tent.

Dave March is entered for this iconic race pitting Man against Horse over a 22 mile Welsh course
The event began in June 1980 following a chat over a pint (or three) in the back bar of the Neuadd Arms Hotel. The then Landlord, Gordon Green, overheard two men discussing the relative merits of men and horses running over mountainous terrain. The enterprising Gordon, never one to miss an opportunity to promote Llanwrtyd Wells and improve business at his hotel, decided to put it to the test. And so began Green Events and its first, longest standing and now internationally acclaimed event, Man v Horse.
Mud Monsters Run have three different distances for you to pick from – 5km, 10km or 20km (double lap). Whichever you choose you will be taken on an amazing muddy journey across muddy fields, up steep hills, through woods, washing off in river crossings, navigating through mud craters, fighting your way through deep muddy bogs, with up to 120+ obstacles and many more muddy surprises along the way.
This run takes place on Sunday 09 June 2019 & in October at our permanent site in the beautiful Sussex Countryside just 5 minutes from the centre of East Grinstead (RH19 4RR – see below for full address and map). The start waves begin at 10am and go every 15 minutes well into the afternoon, we restrict the number of runners per wave so make sure you sign up to your preferred time before it sells out!
The great thing is we have so many obstacles that you never have to run very far before taking on a new and exciting obstacle challenge. We welcome people of all abilities and experience, whether you regularly compete in obstacle races or are thinking of making this your first one, just pick the distance that is right for you. We are a friendly run that offers encouragement and positivity not punishments, we want everyone to have loads of fun and achieve personal goals along the way, whether it’s beating a previous time, completing the monkey bars, scaling the vertical wall or working as a team to get around the course together
