Most of us will be aware of The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Act. The changes will be incorporated into UK law under the Data Protection Bill on the 25th May 2018.

This will have some impact on Tuff Fitty as we do hold limited data on all our members and some changes will no doubt follow on our membership form.

For now though it is important to state Tuff Fitty’s position. There are a number of reasons why we require a limited amount of data. This can include circulating emails and providing newsletters. Putting your name down on race entry listings (where you have agreed to participate in a race/event). If you have any health issues we will only pass this to club officials where it is in their/your interest to know. It is also important to point out we use photos from events/training to inform our members about what our club has been up to in social media, on our website, and periodically in newspapers.

Do please let us know if you do not wish to be featured in any of the above material.

We only store your information for as long as we need it and we take your privacy seriously. We will do our best to ensure information is kept safe and we never give away or sell your details to other organisations.

Tuff Fitty will keep you posted on this matter but in the meantime, if you have any questions, please contact me in the first instance
    Thank you
