Our traditional summer visit to Arundel Lido.
Entry is £5 for a barbecue cooked by the Tuff Masterchefs. This entry comes with free entry to a 400m swim 5km Aquathlon past the Black rabbit and back.
These have built to be a great evening Tuff social and we hope you will be able to come
A Club special – Tuff Fitty have hired Westhampnett Lake for an evening of swim fun
All swimmers will need to sign a disclaimerBRIGHT coloured swim hats MUST be worn.
If you have not ticked ‘going’ you will not be permitted to swim on Facebook. If you are not on FB you should inform any coaches or committee members that you will be attending.
At the moment this event is only for TUFFs – we will see how numbers go and then open it up to your friends at a cost of £5 PP.
We are proud to be putting on this event to add additional value to your annual membership.

Tuff Fitty’s Annual General Meeting
The meeting will start once those who are attending our saturday swim (5pm until 6pm) get changed
What better way to finish the season than with a celebration of everyone’s amazing efforts and achievements. Tuff Fitty would like to invite you to join us for the 2018 Tuff Fitty Awards Night. The evening will take place in the Burlington Hotel in Worthing
Partners are more than welcome to attend but please note that tickets will be given on a first come, first serve basis as we are strictly limited to 80 places. So, get in soon to avoid missing out! Dress code is ‘dress to impress’ which means no lycra, jeans or event t-shirts please 😜. Our traditional pre-Christmas Saturday breakfast run;
Date: Saturday 14 December 2019
Venue: Beefeater, Crossbush Lane, Arundel, BN18 9PQ
Time: Meet in the car park at 7.30 to run
Eligibility: (a) anyone who wants a run
(b) anyone who is injured or just wants to come for breakfast, (say from 8.30?)
(c) or simply anyone with porcine tendencies!
A festive hat is often applauded!
Meet in the car park ready to run, (festive accoutrements optional), for a run of 4 or 5 miles to work up an appetite, and run back to Crossbush for their all you can eat Breakfast. Tea/Coffee, cereal, yoghurts, croissants, toast and a full cooked breakfast, eating as much as you like. The cost has gone up slightly from last year – now £9.50, but if you consider how much a mug of Costa coffee costs, then you only need to have 3 cups of coffee to get your monies worth! As we will have a block booking, may I suggest that everyone pays £10 so that we can give a small tip? There is a cheaper, healthier (?) continental option at £7.50.
Following on from the success of the last two Tuff Christmas Night Rides, the third will be held on Friday 20 December
The start and finish point is the Worlds End in Patching so if you do not want to ride there is the opportunity to join those riding for a drink and a bag of nuts!
The route is the same as last year, a bit of flat with a few climbs – nothing too challenging!
Please make sure you wrap up warm, your bike is well maintained and you have good lights as most of the route is unlit!
In the event of bad weather…….it will just be a drink in the pub!!😜

As is tradition – Tuff Fitty have hired Arundel Lido for a swim from 9am on Saturday 28th.
We have the Lido hired for 1 hour but the cabin will be open until 10:30 am when we will be serving hot drinks
You are welcome to simply come for the swim – OR
Meet up for a run into Arundel Park first. We will meet at 7:30am as usual but clearly we will be back in time for the Lido at 9pm: – OR
If people would prefer to cycle over, as you will be aware the site is large enough to bring your bike in.
The Lido facility has been booked and paid for so we hope you will be able to come along.
