Saturday Morning Run @ Lower Castle Gates, Mill Road. Arundel
Sep 21 @ 7:30 am – 9:30 am
Saturday Morning Run @ Lower Castle Gates, Mill Road. Arundel | England | United Kingdom

A run early on Saturday morning can set you up for the weekend.  Meet in Mill Road Arundel by the lower Castle gates. As an early start no need to arrive very early, but the runners cater off at 7:30am.

A variety of routes up into Arundel Park, or across to Rewell Woods or a run out to Warningcamp and Angmering Park.  As a minimum the route is usually up to 10 miles but for those undertaking spring marathons the mileage does tend to rise through the Autumn heading up towards the South Downs. The route is ideal for some undulations and usually is off road unless the weather conspires against us.

All abilities welcome.   Upon return to Arundel a number will stay for a coffee (and something to eat if a sufficiently high mileage has been undertaken) so you may wish to bring a dry top and some money.  This offer is not obligatory if you fancy a run, yet would prefer to return straight home

A great way to start the weekend, have you tried it yet?

Outlaw X Middle Distance Tri @ THORESBY PARK, NOTTINGHAMSHIRE
Sep 22 @ 7:00 am – 1:00 pm
Outlaw X Middle Distance Tri @ THORESBY PARK, NOTTINGHAMSHIRE

Outlaw X – a brand new half distance event to celebrate the tenth anniversary year of Outlaw.

Taking place in the grounds of the magical Thoresby Park in north Nottinghamshire on Sunday September 22, the event will provide triathletes of all abilities with an unmissable opportunity to finish the 2019 racing season on a high.

Following a 1.2m swim in Thoresby Lake, athletes will embark on a spectacular 56m ride through the north Nottinghamshire countryside before completing their epic journey with a 13.1m run through 1000 acres of unspoilt English countryside within the grounds of the historic Thoresby Park.

Once the racing is complete and the last athlete has been cheered across the line in typical Outlaw style in front of the grade I listed 19th-century Hall, we’ll kick start the special Outlaw X Awards Party during which we’ll look back on an amazing 10 years of Outlaw and celebrate the special individuals who have been so integral to our journey.

Whether you’ve been racing with us since 2010 or have only just discovered the UK’s favourite long-distance triathlon series, don’t miss your chance to join us at Outlaw X this September.

Given that Outlaw Half Nottingham and Outlaw Nottingham have already sold out, we’re expecting demand for entries to be fierce, so to be in with a chance of securing an entry, you must pre-register.

Swim Serpentine @ Hyde Park
Sep 26 @ 8:25 am – 1:00 pm
Swim Serpentine @ Hyde Park | England | United Kingdom

Swim Serpentine is a one-day open water swimming festival staged in the heart of London. The 2020 event will take place on Saturday 26 September.

Organised by London Marathon Events, the festival is held in and around the beautiful Serpentine in Hyde Park, the venue for the open water swimming competition at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

What’s happening

Thousands of swimmers will participate in events that include:

  • Half-Mile Swim: Taking in half a lap of the Serpentine, there is plenty of time to swim this distance at your leisure with a friend, race your mum or dad or just to try out an open water swimming event with an achievable but for some still challenging swim.
  • One-Mile Swim: A classic distance in the world of open water swimming events. Swim Serpentine takes place on the same course as the London 2012 Marathon Swimming Olympic event, with one full lap around the Serpentine making up the one-mile swim. This is the most popular of all the swim distances for Swim Serpentine with swimmers taking anything from 20 minutes through to one hour to complete the swim.
  • Two-Mile Swim: For those who would like to test themselves with two full (1.6km) laps of the Serpentine. Aimed at more experienced swimmers who have already completed a mile open water swim previously. A challenging two-lap swim set in a beautiful location.

Every swimmer will be able to choose a start wave, with swimmers setting off at regular intervals during the day.

Now in its fourth year, Swim Serpentine is already a must-do event in the open water swimming calendar. All your needs are catered for with heated changing rooms, dunk zone, pontoon start and finish, full water safety crew, hot tubs and exhibition area.
