Tuff Fitty Update Weekend 28th 29th March

A huge thank you to everyone for rallying round each other. It is frustrating to still see a minority of people not sticking to guidelines, but we are proud of the way our members are complying and looking out for each other. This is also a good time to acknowledge our huge appreciation for our club members who work in the Health Service, Emergency Services or as Essential Staff – Thank you – your efforts are very much appreciated

COACHES CORNER

Don’t forget our new Facebook page – Coaches Corner which is regularly updated with top tips and training ideas. It is acknowledged that links appear from other sources daily and you may think there is a danger of overkill. However the Tuff site covers much more than training. There are interesting videos to watch and even our resident masterchef – ‘Baking with Wardy’ which is getting rave reviews, so apply to join – you wouldn’t want to miss out would you?

FANCY DRESS FRIDAY

Graham Liddell started to motivate people by venturing out in fancy dress on 20th March with Clare Worgan and Charlotte Lattin-Rawstrone joining in. Graham was out again the following Friday but this time word had reached the publicity agency of England Athletics and ‘Fancy Dress Friday’ really started to get noticed. Running clubs as far afield as Lincoln and Aldershot shared a Tuff report to inspire their members, the report of which was shown nationally and this impetus spurred other Tuffs into participating as well. Closer to home our friends at Sussex Sports Photography also shared the story. It isn’t the easiest of things to push through any apprehension to get out and run on your own dressed up in fancy dress, but cheery waves and hearty greetings usually, (not always) generate smiles or tooting of car horns. Friday 3rd April is expected to see further participation with Clare Worgan going one better in trying to cajole all her workmates to join in (individually). Thanks Graham… Fancy Dress Friday anyone? Gallery from 27th follows with thanks to Clare Worgan, Clive Harvey, James Brock, Mark Walford, Phil Turner, Trevor Harvey & the main man Graham Liddell :-

TUFF ARCHIVES

Strange times indeed without any races to report on. Therefore here are two albums from the Tuff archives. These two go back to 2012 during Tuff’s campaign in the Sussex Cross Country League – there are even older albums that are likely to see the light of day soon 🙂 The first one was the opening venue at Goodwood with the second being the mud fest at Bexhill
